It’s hard enough to find a comfortable bra that fits, let alone a sustainable and ethical one, so I was thrilled when White Rabbit offered to send me their sustainably and ethically made bamboo intimates to review!
Psst, I also have a discount code for you at the very end!
About White Rabbit
White Rabbit is a sustainable and ethical intimates brand based in New York. White Rabbit began from the simple question that if we care deeply about the ethics what we consume, why are intimates so overlooked in the conscious fashion world?
Why bamboo?
Compared to cotton, growing bamboo is much less harmful to the earth. Bamboo is fast-growing and requires less water and no fertilizer and pesticides.
However, making bamboo rayon is a chemically-intensive process, so bamboo rayon isn’t a perfect eco-friendly fabric.
The good news? White Rabbit works with an eco-friendly knitter that is OEKE-Tex certified and follows ISO-9000 and ISO-14001 manufacturing practices (international safety, reliability, quality and most importantly, environmental standards for products and services), and uses new 3-4 year old bamboo trees from the Yunnan province in China.
OEKE-Tex certified means that the supplier doesn’t use certain toxic and environmentally harmful chemicals, even if they aren’t yet legally regulated.
Ethics and women’s empowerment
White Rabbit makes their intimates in Mexico City with a family-owned manufacturer that employs only women. Workers are paid fair wages and have benefits like paid time off and social security.
A percentage of every sale is donated to Fabrica Social, an organization that empowers women in rural communities in Mexico by training them in creative design and business administration. Female artisans create products and learn how to fairly price them, creating sustainable economic development.
I love that I can wear intimates that support me in my everyday life while helping improve the lives of other women!
White Rabbit review
I got the Minette bra and the Leroy boyshort, both in the color blush. The Minette bra is an underwire balconette bra with medium coverage and the Leroy boyshort is a full coverage undie.
fit:
I am roughly a 34C (I say roughly because sometimes a 34C is too big and sometimes it’s too small, depending on the brand) and the 34C fits me. I find the band incredibly stretchy and the cups comfortably snug with no gapping or spillage.
I got the boyshort in a size small, my regular size. It fits well and I love the full coverage (I mean, what’s sexy about a wedgie?? NOTHING!!).
The size range is unfortunately pretty limited right now, only going up to a 36D for the bras and size XL for undies, but White Rabbit plans on expanding their range soon.
comfort:
Lately, I’ve eschewed underwire bras for bralettes since I’ve begun prioritizing comfort over support and shape, but I find this bra pretty wearable all day. At the end of the day, sometimes I’ve forgotten that I still have it on. It helps that the bamboo fabric is so soft (softer than cotton!) and there’s nothing on the bra that irritates my skin. I love that the stretchiness of the band helps the bra stay put without digging into my sides.
The undies are likewise super soft and breathable! Quite possibly the softest undies I’ve ever worn.
Try White Rabbit for yourself, risk-free!
It’s often difficult to buy the right size or fit for your body when shopping for intimates online. White Rabbit offers a Comfort Trial, so you can try both their bras and undies risk-free with free returns if they don’t work out.
If you want to try White Rabbit for yourself, you can use my discount code ‘CAT-x-WR’ to get 10% off!
I won’t make anything from your purchase, except the happiness of helping you find an amazing sustainable and ethical intimates brand.
Are there any sustainable and ethical intimates brands that you love? If you try White Rabbit, let me know your thoughts!
Disclosure: I was gifted these items in exchange for an honest review. No amount of money or product is worth more than my relationship with you, and I strive to provide transparent and honest content!

It’s so true that undergarments (especially pretty ones) are overlooked a lot of the time in the ethical fashion community. Thanks for sharing this company Cat! I’m needing to do a refresh soon so I will add this brand to my “to come back to” folder.
Yay, so glad to have introduced a cool brand to you!
Hi! I’m new to the blog and I have to say that I absolutely love it. I’m definitely gonna check the brand, it’s so rare that I find Mexican brands in fashion round ups and being from the country myself it gives me a “patriot-esque” pride 🙂
Aw yay, welcome!! So glad you’re here 🙂 That’s so cool! I definitely want to learn about more brands outside the U.S. doing awesome eco/ethical things.
