I asked if I should review the Girlfriend Collective Monroe sports bra in my Insta stories, and 87% of you said yes! Sorry not sorry to the 13% of you who are freakin’ tired of me raving about this brand…gotta give the people what they want!
(Scroll to the end for a fun surprise! Hint: It may or may not be $10 off your purchase at Girlfriend Collective…)
Photographic evidence (excuse my dirty mirror and random bathroom stuff in the background):
Ok so first of all, it is probably the most stylish sports bra I have ever owned.
I wore my Monroe top and matching leggings when I went hiking in Hawaii, and some random dude on the trail let me know that I was the “most stylish person there.” Granted, everyone else was reasonably dressed for a sunrise hike—that is to say, not very dressed up—but it’s not like I had put much effort into my outfit, either. Hooray for the instant chic factor of a matching set!
Also, let’s take a moment to appreciate this gorgeous shade of red orange. How the team at GC landed on such a perfect color, I do not know.
comfort & support: The top kept me comfy and supported while climbing up and down pretty steep rocks. I haven’t worn it for more high impact activities, but I think it’d hold up just fine for low to medium impact activities like yoga, jogging, and weightlifting.
sizing: I sized down to an extra small because I also own the Paloma sports bra in a size small, which ended up being way too loose for me around the ribcage. It’s pretty snug around my boobs, but the band fits me perfectly. I do think a size small would’ve probably fit me fine, too, so my guess is that the Paloma runs large and the Monroe runs more true to size. For reference, I’m on the small end of a 34C (my boobs shrank half a size when I got off the pill…a blessing in disguise tbh).
Bonus points for versatility: The straps can also be worn crossed in the back for a racerback style.
Soooo bottom line? I want this bra in all the colors! I highly recommend it to everyone with boobs!
And, if you’re thinking about grabbing one for yourself, you can get $10 off your first purchase!
