Farmacy Beauty is one of my all-time favorite clean beauty brands. I love both the ethos behind the company and what their products have done for my skin, and I thought I’d share some of my favorites from the brand.

Those of you who have been with me for a long time (thank you so much btw!!!) know that I’ve struggled with my skin pretty much since I started this blog. After many trials and tribulations, I’m happy to present to you the fruit of all my skincare labors!
Winter is all fun and games until after New Year’s when all the festivities are over and the only thing to look forward to are more rain, numb toes, and chapped lips.
That being said, wintertime is the best time to slow down and cozy up with that book you kept saying you’d read and that knitting project you forgot about amid the holiday rush. Here are some things this winter that sparked joy for me; enjoy!
I am a sucker for subscription boxes! I love getting little packages in the mail each month, filled with fun surprises. I mean, who doesn’t?
I’ve tried Birchbox in the past, but that experience was definitely a case of “better in theory than in practice.” I ended up with a bunch of sample-sized products that I never used up, mostly because the products didn’t fit my skin or needs. Worse, I couldn’t filter out brands that were cruelty-free or non-toxic, which became a deal breaker.
When I heard about Petit Vour’s cruelty-free beauty box that the products were also non-toxic and vegan, I thought it was too good to be true! Spoiler alert: It’s the real deal, and I think it’s way better than Birchbox.
I’ve been more conscious of my beauty purchases since learning more about how many ingredients in our beauty products can be toxic or irritating. I also want to commit more fully to buying cruelty-free and vegan products, because animal testing has always horrified me and there is literally zero reason to inflict such violence and cruelty on animals when animal testing doesn’t even yield conclusive information.
Unfortunately, it can take a lot of time to research the products you’re buying, and a lot of money to try out new products just to see if you like them.
Today I’m excited to share a really fun, easy, and affordable way to discover cruelty-free, natural, and clean beauty brands and products!
I’ve always been a bit of a beauty junkie, and it felt inevitable that my conscious consumerism journey would eventually explore the world of clean and natural beauty, as well as vegan and cruelty-free beauty.
Like with most conscious consumer goods, there’s a lot of nuance and depth to these terms that gets obscured through pretty millennial marketing. I’ve written a quick guide to elucidate the murky vagueness around words like “clean,” “natural,” “non-toxic” as they pertain to the beauty industry. Hope this helps!
It’s beginning to feel a lot like summer, and I couldn’t be happier. But of course, summer fun isn’t without its perils. To avoid nasty sunburns, premature aging, and increased risk of skin cancer, it’s important to wear sun protection (yes, even if you don’t burn)!
Here’s my guide to natural, non-toxic, and cruelty-free sunscreen!
I got eyelash extensions! In this post, I answer some questions you might have about getting lash extensions.
With only three products in their line, all of which contain zero irritants or toxins, Peet Rivko strips the weird chemicals and confusion out of skincare. Read on for an in-depth review.
I went off the birth control pill and got a hormonal IUD (Mirena) in early January (read more about the procedure and the side effects). And WOW, did my skin take me through a pimply and emotional rollercoaster.
